Dr. Abigail Cockbane is one of ContraPoints' persona. She is a sex-negative, trans-exclusionary radical feminist (TERF), and opposed to fetishes of all kinds. She often appears, uninvited, to espouse gender essentialism and transphobic politics.
Character[]
Abigail has a fractured relationship with her mother and dressed emo as a teenager. She insults trans women for what she perceives as their "mannish" hands and height. Nonetheless, she considers the term "TERF" a slur.
Over time, Abigail shifts the focus of her biological essentialism to menstruation, performing a "moon ritual" related to her period. She earns her PhD by writing her doctoral thesis: "Sacred Passage: The Divine Feminine in Flux and Flow".
